Beach Republic II
Koh Samui Thailand

Following on from the hip and chic original award winning Beach Republic, the new development “Dancing poles” is inspired by the swaying palm trees of this “coconut” island.

The natural rock formations have been preserved to provide dramatic backdrops to the new chill-out pools, bars and waterfall rock pools.

Baltic Lights
JurmalaLatvia

The rhythmic ‘push’ and ‘pull’ nature of our hotel planning is driven by the musical aspect of the hotel. On the facade this effect is further enhanced by the addition of a bay window that becomes an ‘inspiration’ space, a floating extension of the hotel room, allowing the artist to focus on practice or writing of new material. The coloured glass of these bays draws inspiration from the ‘northern lights’, a phenomenon of nature that can be observed across the Latvian skies. It is envisaged that from a distance the hotel itself will take on the appearance of such a natural marvel. Externally the building is clad with ‘ship lap timber’, similar to Jurmala’s timber homes.baltic-concept

Koh Som Resort
Koh Som Thailand

Koh Som Resort is located on the beautiful island of Koh Som (Orange Island) Its cluster of villas surround a meandering stream that leads down to the beach. The elevated structure of the villas and angled roofs allow maximum airflow in and around each building, naturally cooling them. Exclusive “floating villas” reduce the “footprint” on the island and provide unique , private hideaways for priviledged guests.

The coloured banding to the floating villas gives identity to each unit, reminicent of the colourful bands of material wrapped around the bow of local long tail boats for good luck.
